Matt Morris

Matt Morris is an artist, writer, educator, and curator based in Chicago. He is a contributor to Artforum.com, Art Papers, ARTnews, Flash Art, Newcity, Sculpture, and most recently X-TRA Contemporary Art Quarterly and THE SEEN. His writing has appeared in numerous exhibition catalogues and artist monographs. He is a transplant from southern Louisiana who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and earned a Master of Fine Arts in Art Theory and Practice from Northwestern University, as well as a Certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. In 2017, he earned a Certification in Fairyology from Doreen Virtue, PhD. Morris is a lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
